A regular meeting (via videoconference) was held with representatives of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (RCOph) of Great Britain Beth Barnes (professional support department) and Alex Tytko (education department).

Issues of bilateral cooperation of mutual interest were discussed at the meeting, in particular:

• training of Uzbek ophthalmologists in the UK;
• conducting joint research in the field of ophthalmology;
• exchange of experience in the field of implementation of advanced international standards for the provision of quality medical services;
• the possibility of publishing scientific works of ophthalmologists of Uzbekistan in the KCO journal “Eye Journal”;
• participation of Uzbek ophthalmologists in the annual ophthalmological conference (May 23, Glasgow) as listeners, as well as speakers in a similar conference in 2023.

The parties agreed to provide all the necessary information for a more detailed study of these issues and go ahead with them.
