Goals

  1.  The main goal of the Association is to help improve the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of eye diseases among the population of the country, to help in the training and professional development of specialists, as well as to protect the rights and legitimate interests of the members of the Association.
  2. To achieve its goals, the Association performs the following tasks:
    – development of all areas of ophthalmology and increasing the prestige of the industry in the Republic of Uzbekistan;
    – cooperation with state bodies, public associations, international and foreign governmental and non-governmental organizations to achieve the goals set out in the Charter;
    – participation in the development of regulatory legal acts on the provision of medical care for eye diseases and auxiliary organs, together with interested healthcare organizations and research medical institutions;
    – participation in the creation and improvement of existing ophthalmological clinics and research centers in the Republic of Uzbekistan;
    – participation in providing medical institutions with modern medical equipment, consumables for patient care, and medicines;
    – independent organization of scientific, statistical, epidemiological, and other researches in the field of ophthalmology;
    – contribution to improving the quality of medical education;
    – promotion of the organization of various forms of training for ophthalmologists, including qualified personnel;
    – organization and conduct of conferences, congresses, symposia, seminars, “round tables”, “schools”, discussions, reports, and other events (including international) independently and jointly with government bodies, public organizations in accordance with the goals of the Association;
    – creation and maintenance of the Association official website to provide information on the goals set out in the Charter;
    – promotion of modern technical and ethical standards and requirements applicable to professional activities in the field of ophthalmology;
    – assistance in protecting the rights of its members in public organizations and institutions, including in courts;
    – cooperation with interested local, foreign, and international organizations and institutions including the conclusion of contracts and agreements, helping to create an effective system of international cooperation in the field of ophthalmology;
    – cooperation with interested organizations and enterprises of different forms of ownership, development of programs and projects to work with them;
    – various grants from individuals and legal entities, including foreign investors;
    – carrying out charitable activities
  3. The Association can perform other functions not prohibited by the current legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan and this Charter
